Equine Medical Consult
We are passionate about quality in our work and problem solving. The purpose of Equine Medical Consult is to offer specialist competencies to equine veterinarians. We are a new, independent, mobile specialist service for equine veterinarians, offering consultations and continuing education for veterinarians as well as workup and treatment of horses with poor performance and medical disorders at specialist level. In essence, this means that we can contribute with everything from assistance with reading test results to medical workups at locally your clinic as well as education, training, courses and second opnion work, expert witness support.
Meet the Team
Sigrid Hyldahl cand.med.vet, Dipl. ECEIM
Sigrid graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Copenhagen in 2009, then completed an internship in Ireland, Anglesey Lodge Equine Hospital and has since completed the European specialist education (Dipl. ECEIM) at the University of Copenhagen. After this, Sigrid worked as a senior veterinarian at the Large Animal Teaching Hospital at the University of Copenhagen for a number of years before the travelling to Mälaren Hästklinik in Sweden. Sigrid has worked extensively with emergency and critical care medicine, particularly gastrointestinal disorders, colic and colitis as well as neonatology. She has even undertaken a fellowship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Kentucky. Sigrid has solid experience within equine internal medicine workups including poor performance in the horse.
In her spare time, Sigrid herself is an active rider and has her own Icelandic horses.
